Fears: How to Release Fears, Nightmares, and Even Physical Pain in Minutes (and the “Magic” That Enables Rapid Change – Step by Step)

fear: A fearful child holding throat with worry and fear

Many people, including children, often spiral into fears or worries, limiting beliefs, and negative thought patterns. This traps them in a burdensome reality that prevents them from dealing with their fears helpfully.

Sound familiar? Does your home fill with monsters and threatening predators as night falls, instilling fears in your children’s hearts, preventing them (and you) from falling asleep peacefully, and sometimes continuing to disturb their rest with nightmares? And what can be done to restore your children’s peaceful sleep? This article presents an innovative NLP technique that deals with fears within minutes. You are welcome to read, implement, and share.

The Dynamic Spin Release™ technique is a revolutionary comprehensive NLP approach that allows users to quickly release fears, getting rid of negative thought patterns, letting go of limiting beliefs, finding solutions to unconscious conflicts, and even addressing physical pain. How fast? Hold on tight: in just eight minutes.

How does it eliminate fears, and what’s the secret “magic” of the method?

According to Kris Hallbom, who created this amazing method with her husband Tim, the technique uses the universal principle of spin to accelerate transformation.

“Spin is an intrinsic property of everything in our world,” she says. “So just as the earth rotates around the sun and the moon circles around the earth, our thoughts, feelings and beliefs have a certain spin quality to them, too. By aligning the transformation process with the inherent order and flow of the universe, Dynamic Spin Release™ eliminates resistance to change, thus making the transformation fun and easy.”

Hmmm… sounds exciting! Is it suitable for children with fears, too?

“Very much so,” Hallbom replies. “It’s easy to teach them the method. They enjoy using it. Most importantly, the method leverages the creativity and imagination that are an integral part of being children, and it gives them a practical tool to control their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and their consequences. All we need to do is guide them and let their imagination and creativity simply lead them to change…”

Wow.But why am I telling you about this fears buster method it in the first place?

Before I lay the method’s main stages and the principles that lead to its success, let me tell you my connection to the method.
I was introduced to the Dynamic Spin Release™ method several years ago when I wanted to write a children’s book about dealing with fears. The goal I set for myself was for the book to provide readers with a practical solution, as I do in all my children’s books, but no less importantly, to be able to build an engaging plot around it that children could connect with and progress with on the way to solving the problem that concerns them.

It was love at first sight, and the book practically wrote itself.
But that was just the beginning, because soon enough I started getting testimonials from parents and grandparents about children who thanks to the book, got rid of nightmares, and of fears and anxieties that had accompanied them night after night for a long time…

So, howcan you eliminate fears (and other unwanted feelings): The main stages of the method:

  1. Identify an unpleasant thought, disturbing feeling or emotion, or even a physical symptom that bothers you, and ask yourself what do you want to address.
  2. Now, ask yourself where do you feel it. Identify the location and give it a visual representation in the form of an image or a symbol.
  3. Tell yourself to take the problem out and push it away from you. Now, look at the problem as it floats away from you in the form of the image you chose for it.
  4. Decide which direction you want the image to spin, and spin it in your imagination.
  5. Tell yourself to reverse the direction of the spin. Then spin it faster and faster, and even faster, until it disappears… but wait… what’s that? Can you see a gift approaching you from afar?
  6. Look at the gift and ask yourself what is its positive message. Pay attention to additional messages it may bring with it.

What makes the method so effective and life-changing?

Here are the main characteristics that allow change to occur, and fast:

  • Overlapping – When we take the disturbing feeling out of the body and give it a visual representation, we create an overlapping from the feeling to the image. Naturally, it’s much easier to change an image than to change a feeling, and the beauty is that when we change the image – we’re actually changing the feeling it represents.
  • Sub modalities – One of the most significant tools in NLP is the ability to change an unpleasant experience by changing the sub-modalities attributed to it. For example, close versus far, colorful versus black and white, clear versus blurry, big versus small… you get the idea. The Dynamic Spin Release™ method also uses relevant representations of sub-modalities, such as:
    • Dissociation – This is what happens when we take the feeling out of ourselves and look at its visual representation from the outside, when in fact, it’s no longer an integral part of us…
    • Distance – When we push the image away from us, we’re actually distancing the problem the image represents and reducing its impact on us.
    • Motion – The spin movement takes the feeling that just minutes ago was weighing on us and replaces its static presence with its motion. This motion is intensified with the reversal of the spin and the acceleration of its motion, until it causes the image to disappear completely, and along with it, the problem too disappears…
  • Using the subconscious in favor of the imaginary process – Remember, the process begins with identifying the location of the problem in the body and defining it as an image or a symbol that metaphorically represents it. Where did the metaphor come from? From our imagination that lean on the metaphorical connections found in our subconscious.

And this is extremely important, as Hallbom explains, since the most wonderful thing about the process is that our subconscious will always create a more coherent visual solution than any metaphor we try to define for ourselves consciously. The creation of the problem’s metaphor as well as the metaphor of the gift, both done through imagination, is actually the most powerful component in the entire process.

Bottom line

Many people, including children, often spiral into feelings of fear or worry, limiting beliefs, and negative thought patterns. These and more, including physical pain, cause them to entrench themselves in a burdensome and inhibiting reality that prevents them from dealing with their situation in a helpful and effective way.

As you could have learned from the article, the Dynamic Spin Release™ technique, developed by Kris and Tim Hallbom, allows users to get rid of unwanted behaviors and feelings within a short time, even just a few minutes.
This wonderful change occurs thanks to the combination of turning the unwanted feelings into a metaphorical image, and applying sub-modalities manipulations to the image, using a spin movement and other characteristics, which cause the image, as well as the feelings, beliefs, or pain it represents – to spin away and… disappear.

“The Scary Lion That Roared in the Dark”

The fears, anxieties, and worries about the lion that comes to his room at night accompany little Ron every night and prevent him from falling asleep. Guided by his Grandma, he gives his fear a visual representation and deals with it step by step through the Dynamic Spin Release™ process.

The book is the second in the “Little Heroes” series, which gives readers a glimpse into important life skills, in a light-hearted way and combined with eye-opening illustrations, precise rhyming, and a melodic rhythm.

This is a particularly empowering book about fears, courage, and imagination, which will allow your children to go through this “magical” process along with the book’s hero, and befriend the fears hidden in their hearts, too.

Now it’s your turn
